Well guys... I switched to Linux on my home computer.. now I am really thinking about putting Kubuntu on my work's laptop. Should I be concerned about any issues when it comes to ThinkPad T60?

You're (mostly) in luck... ThinkPads are some of the best laptops out there to run Linux on, thanks to their IBM heritage. Any problems usually have a two-line fix.
