    hal-storage-removable-mount-all-options refused uid 1000??

    hi!
i've got a 200 GB NTFC external harddrive with a lot of important schoolwork, pics and music that i saved before switching to Kubuntu from WinXP.
the big problem right now is that i can't get access to my external drive.

i can see it in the system menu under "Lagringsmedia" (guess that would be translated as Storage media), and also an icon pops up on my desktop.
but when i click it to open, it doesnt work.
and if i choose to mount it it says: hal-storage-removable-mount-all-options refused uid 1000

    so what should i do?
i'd really love if someone could help me out.
    thanx!
    /juju

Anybody else could use this answer when searching the forum :-)

The solution is found here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=601210

This is what I found to be a good solution:
        -Open "System Settings" GUI
        -Go to the "Advanced" tab
        -Open "Disk & Filesystems"
-Click the "Administrator Mode..." button on the bottom right
-Right-click on the partition that isn't mounting properly and Select "Modify"
-Change "Mount Path" to a valid path
-Change "Mount Permission: " to "Any User may enable/disable anytime"
        -Click the "Ok" button
-Click the "Enable" button at the near bottom of the window. problems:
