I can boot fine with the Live CD & perform most tasks without any issue. However, when I try to perform an actual installation I have another problem.
The setup will run through the 6 steps with me, choosing Languages, Logins, etc. I have 1 40gig HD in my laptop and I choose to use the entire disk for the install. It runs through creating the partitions, however when it begins formatting the new file system... the laptop completely shuts down without warning.
I don't think it's overheating because the fan never gets a chance to kick into high gear. I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out. Help!!
My specs. Dell Inspiron 5150. Pentium 4 2.6ghz. 512 ram. 40gb HDD
