Hello,
I am running Kubuntu Gusty beta on 1.8ghz Dell E1705 laptop with 2Gb RAM, 80GB HD, Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG Connection (eth1) and Broadcom 440x 10/100 Ethernet Adapter (eth0).
My wireless seems to be working fine since it is detecting signals from my neighbourhood (still need to test it to see if it actually will connect) but my bigger issue is the ethernet which doesn't seem to work.
I have RoadRunner cable hooked up on my desktop with WinXP Professional and when I unplug it to hook up my laptop with Kubuntu, it starts detecting network but when I open KNetworkManager it has static IP/Gateway. I tried going online and it won't work.
I am not sure if the issue is with my ethernet adapter which worked before under XP but I am running out of ideas. I also used 'sudo dhclient' but it couldn't find any working connections.
Please help!
