Hi
I am trying to install Kubuntu Breezy 5.10 for a friend of mine who only has dial--up using a Winmodem. I am unable to configure the Winmodem. I did some RTFM and found out how to configure dial-up, but those instructions (and screenshots) show that there is a modem available already. My screen shows no modems at all.
1. Do I have to skip Network Configuration (he has no Ethernet)?
2. What about DHCP? Do I answer Yes or No?
3. How do I get Kubuntu to see that there is a Winmodem?
I installed Kubuntu at home with no problems and use it on a regular basis, but I have been on Broadband for so long that I have completely forgotten how to work on dial-up, plus I have never before installed any distro on dial-up.
Thanks for your patience.
