I have Kubuntu 5.10 installed and working and my printer and external modem are recognized. However, when I click on connect, I get an error box with the following: "/etc/resolv.conf is missing or can't be read. Ask your system administrator to create this file (can be empty) with appropriate read and write permissions." The modem dials but gives me another error box stating the daemon has died unexpectedly. I cannot locate the /etc/resolv.conf file so I assume it should be added. I've tinkered with vi a little but have never tried using an editor like Kate to add or change anything. Any suggestions?
