Running .net software. Solved!

Can anyone tell me, if it's possible to run .net software such as Visual Studio 2005 Express Edition under kubuntu, or do I have to keep using windows for this?

I've tried installing the .net framework using Wine, but this doesn't seem to work.

I believe you need to install the Mono framework. I don't know if Visual Studio works, but I tried a small .NET program under Wine, and it told me to install Mono. Mono is kind of like the Linux version of .NET.
