Graphic Programming: about 666 format

Does somebody know the bitmap with 666 format?

As you know, the bitmap with format 565(16bit) or 888(24bit) is very common, but how about 666(18bit)?

I want to know whether kubuntu support this format? or linux support this format?

I never saw the 18bit format, but all linuxes I've tried in my life handled the 15bit Targa files without any problem. Why not try with the LiveCD?
