When you are prompted for a password in a Konsole, you type in your password, the one you established as the user who did the installation.

1)The password does not appear. You can type it in - but nothing will show.
2) Linux is case sensitive so you need to input: sudo not Sudo
3)There is no package available from the repository called gvlc. Is it just vlc?

i have Kubuntu.no gvlc works great also the problem is not the first line that i wrote and the prob is that i type but nothing shows only when the password field appears
You are aware, yes, that you don't see the password as you type it? That is be design, else someone could watch over your shoulder and see your password.
