Where can i find Drivers for an Nvidia 8800GTS Graphics Card and an ATI X1400

I have a PC and laptop with Kubuntu and and my resolution is too big for my tastes.I reckon i can fix it by installing the drivers for the GPUs that I have.

My PC has an Nvidia 8800GTS and my Dell Laptop has an ATI X1400.

I went on to the Nvidia Website to have a look if they have anything that would help me out and saw this page http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_do...etadriver.html which has a Linux section which i need...My PC has a Q6600 Processor and i have Vista Ultimate at 32 bit on it which i need as my work place has some software that only for windows >.

Also does anyone know where i can get drivers for my ATI card..I don't want to call up Dell and end up with being on hold for an hour.
    Thanx

    You should try this

    http://albertomilone.com/nvidia_scripts1.html

As far that I know that script will install the latest nvidia driver. Not sure about ATI but I think that script should help you as well

Use the Envy script that Snowhog pointed you to, and it will automatically select the correct Nvidia driver for your 8800GTS.

The Envy script also installs the ATI proprietary driver -- I don't know which one it installs.

Yes it will. Just follow the above posted guides and everything should work fine.

Note: If for some reason you intend to use Google Earth, you will have to install the previous release,   8.39.4 , as the newest driver doesn't work with it.
