Where are File manager, Firefox and Thunderbird?

Where are File manager, Firefox and Thunderbird?

I just installed Kubuntu, but I can't find the file manager. I tried downloading Firefox and thunderbird, adept says installed when I click OK, but I can't find them. Thank you

The file manager is Konqueror (the browser, et al). Check K Menu | Internet for FF and TB.

Windows no longer obstructs my view.
