dvd problems

hi, i get the following error message when trying to play a dvd:

"/media/cdrom0 is a folder, but a file was expected"

thats the message i got from MPlayer, from Kafeine i get :

"There were no decoders found to handle the stream, you might need to install the corresponding plugins"

any ideas...

Do a search on the Ubuntu support forum for "automatix" ...it will get you all the codecs and media enhancements in one fell swoop. Just make sure you get the KDE version and not the Gnome version (there is a link in that thread)
