I trashed K3b because it constantly hung my system. I'm on a 2.2ghz celeron with .5gig of RAM on a 80gig HDD. Using Kubuntu 7.04. instead I downloaded and installed X-CDRoast because I read good things about it. But I can't seem to activate it. I've got it installed and all but when I log in as Kpax it won't let me run it, and tells me that it needs to be run the first time by someone with admin rights. I've tried to give Kpax admin rights. Alternately I tried to activate root but when I attempt to log in as root the system won't permit it. HELP!

Re: ACTIVATING X-CDROAST
Hit ALT-F2 to get a run command and then in the window that appears type:
kdesu x-cdroast
It will ask you for your password. When it does, enter it. The app should be opened as root.
By the way, what was the problem with K3B. I think this is probably the best CD/DVD burning software I have ever used regardless of the OS. My opinion.
eriefisher~$sudo make me a sandwich
