    FD0 errors when shutting down

When I power down my computer, I get about 10 or 12 lines in a row that read:

    " Buffer I/O error on device FD0, Logical Block 0 "

My floppy drive works fine, however. Is this an error in the kernel? I was reading something on this or the Ubuntu board about an error in the kernel, but their problem was at bootup I believe.

    Thank you.

Is this happening 'every time' you shutdown, or is this something that just started happening?

Everytime. But like I said, my floppy seems to work fine. I also get an error at boot saying something about USB 1-2 error 71.
