This must be really simple but I can't find the settings in control centre and googling doesn't help. When I click on an icon (to open a folder, document), the icon expands towards me. Slowly. Painfully and cheesily so. Where is the option to turn off this behaviour?

It's in System Settings -> Keyboard and Mouse -> Mouse -> (bottom part) Uncheck "Visual feedback on activation".

Re: stop icons flying out at me
Gotcha, I thought it'd be under Icons as well. I even restarted and the checkbox remained unchecked but still they flew at me! Although they stopped doing it in Dolphin I'm sure. But I don't want to use Dolphin, I want to use Konqueror.
Still either unchecking visual feedback on activation is what I needed. Thank you!
[Alt][F2] kcontrol > Peripherals | Mouse | General tab | uncheck visual feedback on activation
(edit) Need to restart KDE to do this, but behold sweet, fast folder navigation!
