Setting up VPN Client in Kubuntu

    Good day,

In my Windows XP, I configure my VPN by doing the following:

    1. Open Start Menu,
    2. Click on Control Panel.
    3. Open Network Connections.
    4. Press "Create a new connection"
    5. Press Next
    6. Select "Connect to the network at my workplace", press Next.
    7. Select "Virtual Private Network connection", press Next.
    8. Set "Company Name" to "My Company", press next
    9. Set "Hostname" to "my.company.com"
    10. Finish.

Then everytime I try to connect to that VPN, I just enter my username & password then everything works fine.

How can I do the same with my kubuntu. I tried using Knetwormanager ( with pptp ) but there seems to be a lot of configurations there.

    I tried
    1. From Knetworkmanager, VPN Connections > Configure VPN
    2. Add VPN
    3. Set "Connect to" to "PPTP Tunnel"
    4. Set "Connection Name" to "My Company"
    5. Set "Type" to "Windows VPN (PPTP)"
    6. Set "Gateway" to "my.company.com"
    7. Press Forward
    8. Apply

But it doesn't work. When ever I try connecting to "My Company" I get prompted for my username & password. Then I input those and I get a

    Code:
    VPN Failure
Could not start the VPN connection to My Company
Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks,
    Franz

    Good day,

Is there no answer to this problem? ...Or is my question unclear?

    Thanks,
