    Installation

    I got 2 hard drive ,
    each hard drive got 4 partitions ..
    so , is there any way to install kubuntu in PARTITIONS, or there's no way :/ !?
    we have to free up a HDD for installing kubuntu ?!

    You can install Kubuntu in a partition (I take it you mean one not partitions?)

    I set W2K in one, Kubuntu in another and a data partition as well

    Kubuntu needs 11 GBs (10 for OS and 1 for swap file) Create an empty partition and install it there with guioded install (it does the swap partition itself)

    Try the alternate CD (text based) iso for installing. I never had any luck with Live CD
    (it's quicker to get it by bittorrent) sorry don't have the link handy
