After a Google search:
To block flash from konqueror simply add '*.swf' to the adblock list.Windows no longer obstructs my view.

*.swf completely eliminates flashes I just want to stop them from starting up automaticallyComment

Konq can run many (although not all) Firefox extensions. You can try No-script. You might hate it, though. No-script was simultaneously rated as one of the 10 most useful and 10 most annoying Firefox extensions. Try it, you'll hate it, but it works (at least, in FF).Comment
