Everytime I ask a question someone kindly answers with a command line so I get the feeling that there is a list which I can run in sudo to do exactly the same thing a system settings does, so first off I am looking for the target paths like those in runcommand on XP, is there a list then? For example devmgmt.msc, appwiz.cpl, desk. cpl, etc. thanks.

Re: Ok, I want to ruin my system but is there a list of commands
for something resembling Control Panel's applets type in a konsole "kchshell --list" and you will see a list of available kcontrol modules;
to acces a particular one just type in the Run Command dialog kcmshell followed by the module name (e.g kcmshell privacy)
also in the KDE Help Center (K Menu > Help) there is a Unix shell commands section worth checking; or perhaps the list here: http://www.ss64.com/bash/index.html
