Just converted to kubutu. i've been using linux for 3 weeks now

I'm realy liking the linux os it's alot more stable than windows was. The only thing I was missing was some eyecandy, Kubuntu seems to have more than enough of that. I am having trouble with system sounds. I can hear amarok fine but like log on and log off sounds theres nothing. When I registered for the forum the I clicked listen to the letters in the box that makes sure your not a spambot, nothing there either. When I go to systemsettings>notifications I press the preview sound button nothing happens.Can someone help me please?

Try KMenu->Settings->Sound & Multimedia->System Notifications

and have a look under the drop down menu at the top for KDE System Notifications.

You should be able to work it all out from there.
