Well I was thrilled to see a must reboot to finish instilation after I thought I had sucessfuly installed Kubuntu and Windows Xp *clap* Untill i try to boot it, and it asks for me to enter a username, so I'm like cool I remember.. Dum dee dum a button press here, one there... Doo die do. Then it says Password. So I begin to mash the keyboard buttons.. But to my suprise.. Nothing. Nothing comes up =\ Can anyone help me?


Edit: -.- I guess it's nto supposed to lol *smacks forehead*
Now to figure out why there is no GUI and stuff =\

Edit2: Nevermind found out I had to type xstart, but now ti says No /home/christian/.xsession /home/christian/.Xsession and no terminal emmulators, session managers, ro windows managers found =\

Did you install the full version or the server version of Kubuntu?

Basically what it is saying is that there is no window manager, no configuration file for x, and terminal emulators that can be run in x.

you could try

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86

LOL....oops, got to remember which distro I am talking about. Yeah I was thinking Debian, not Kubuntu.

Yes, Kubuntu use xorg. As a matter of fact, almost all new linux distro use xorg.
