is it possible to pause the download of adept?? i have a lousy ISP and my connection disconnects for a few times a day. sometimes it disconnects when i am downloading some updates.
the problem is that i was updating yesterday when the connection disconnected. adept just stopped the download and installed what it had already downloaded, ignoring the uncompleted parts. i did a check by clicking fetch updates again, but there was nothing to upgrade. i assumed that everything was installed correctly. when i restarted, i can't log in to Kubuntu. (one of the updates was the kernel, i guess this might be the problem) i didn't know how to fix that so i just reinstalled Kubuntu.
what do you guys suggest?? how can i make adept pause the download when my connection disconnects and resume afterwords?
oh yeah, another problem. after reinstalling Kubuntu, i can't open adept. it kept telling me another copy is still running. i searched KSysGuard over and over again for the "other copy" but nothing is there. what is the problem??
