Does the processor boot up a cd before grub loads?
Because i have UBCD4WIN and am going to install grub into the MBR and dont want my MBR killed and UBCD4WIN has tools to fix the MBR so..............
Im planning to install kubuntu today and the first thing ill do is get synaptic off of adept then download crazy!
Too bad there is no latest firefox on synaptic because im complete noob but should be out in december.
Just a quick brief plan of how im going to install it just so im making sure im on the right track.
1.Take 20 GB from my C Partition and create a B Partition.
2.Install Kubuntu on Partition B.
3.Install grub into MBR of drive C(Windows XP)
4.Download synaptic off of adept then install programs.
When i used kubuntu live it detected my internet and everything fine so i guess im good to go.
And many people said make sure it detects your other OS's at install so it wont overwrite their partiiton? How can i tell if it detects it or not?
