in "Configure - Kdesktop" -> "Multiple Desktops" I have only 1 desktop listed. But in the bar I have 28 desktops.

Yeah, is a question. Sorry. HOW DO I GET RID OF 24 OF THESE DESKTOPS. They have dominated my task bar!

I tried to get them just for fun (just to see how dominating they would be), and they are dominating indeed.
However, I can only get 20 of them max, not 28
And if you say you have only 1 listed in your "multiple desktop" settings, that sounds weird.
How did you get them? You got them by install or just all of a sudden?Comment

I believe it was all of the sudden. I think it was tied in with beryl somehow. I dunno

i guess that's gotta be something to do with Beryl as i got the same experience with it. when i changed the window manager from Beryl to KWin, i have something like 16 desktops. but those 16 didn't really exist. i solved my problem really easily, i switched desktops and it is back to four desktops.Comment

Yes, this happens to me everytime I run then close Beryl, but merely switching desktops always makes the extra ones disappear.Comment
