    Menus in taskbar

    Hi all

    I have 2 panels one in top and one in the bottom.

    In the top panel I would like to have several menus alongside each other.

    The problem is that I want it to be text only and not just the Icon (with the triangle marker for menu).

    Where do I change this, I have tried for hours but can't find the switch :-/

    Anyone ??

    I'm not sure I understand this.

    If you RIGHT click on the KMenu you can choose Menu Editor. From there you can change things about.

    You can change the icon by clicking on the picture of the icon. I'm don't know how to get rid of the icon altogether.

      I think the only solution is to make a png with text, and then point the icon picker to the png.

      But it should be possible though (as in gnome and Xfce) ??

        Re: Menus in taskbar

        I had the Application Icons "disappear" from the taskbar. I think adding a virtual interface to the eth0 network card caused it. Anyway, I got them back by ...
        1. Right-Click the taskbar and select Panel Menu
        * Add Applet to Panel
        * Select Taskbar [Add to Panel]
        The icons are text only
        2. Right-Click the taskbar and select Configure Panel
        * select Taskbar
        * [X] Show Application Icons

        arochester - this also answers your question - the default is text.
