    KsCD tries to open folders

    Hi all
    I've recently installed Kubuntu but cant open folders. When i click a folder i get a KsCD error message saying:

    cd-rom read or access error (or no audio disc in drive)
    Please make sure you have access permissions to:
    When i click ok KsCD opens.

    I've tried right clicking the folder and changing the application the folder opens with but with no success.

    Thanks
    Jeff

    And if you use the "open with...", doesn't it work for that time too? Or does it work for that time only and afterwards not anymore?

    If it works only once, you will have to change the order of preferred applications your Kubuntu uses.

      I'm confused. Are these folders located on a mounted CD-ROM? Or, are you getting KsCD when you click on a folder on your hard drive? Exactly where are the folder icons that you're clicking on? Are they in Konqueror (on the sidebar or the main panel)? Or, are they on your desktop?

        Re: KsCD tries to open folders

        I ended up reinstalling Kubuntu, couldn't work it out.
        The problem was KsCD tried to open everything, (all files and folders) even after using the open with option.

        Its all working fine now!

        Thanks again Jeffjavascript:replaceText(' ', document.forms.postmodify.message);
