    Kubuntu 7.04 -- can't get wireless internet

Install was clean on new hdd. Everything looked good. Feisty picked up my wireless card (as ra1) but at least it is there. Cannot figure how to configure.
It found it's own IP, it shows a green check for wireless network device. I think this is good.
Under the tab "Routes", I have tried both with the default gateway address blank, & the outside IP for my other PC's (router). Neither has affected functionality.
The tab Network Profiles has been always blank, since I am clueless there.

Any ideas? I am frustrated, but not beaten! I really want to give Linux a go!

Was the ip address it "found" in the range of the router? Do you have it configured for DHCP or manual?

DHCP. Had not yet tried manual, & so I have now, but no help. (The basics are usually the answer, but not this particular one.) Thanks!
