I have Kubuntu 6.06 installed on my desktop, and WinXP on my laptops. I have a wireless G router, which is hard wired to my desktop (kubuntu pc). Can anyone please guide me as to how to setup the home network? Where do I go, what do I do etc. My laptops are connected on the network, and my desktop can connect when I boot through Win 98, but I don't have any idea what settings are required for Kubuntu! Please help! I'm a total newbie here!!!

Re: Trouble adding Kubuntu Pc to my home network
Thanks!
Now I just need to figure out how I can download and install Samba on that machine, as it is not connected to the internet. Will post back here about my status.

Ok, now I have downloaded Samba as a tar.gz. Any ideas on what I should do next? Step by step instructions, please, as Mr. Gates has spoon-fed me all my life!
