i have already unpacked and installed the fubuntu 7.04 from the ubuntu 7.04 CD, but things kije the Gnome Control panel, and the gnown other system tabs and app are all still running...

the KDE control panel works and is in the options but thats it... the KDE just doesnt Kick in right... still gnome.

if any of that makes sence? lol

I assume that by fubuntu you mean kubuntu (google search for fubuntu turned up nothing much so..). In which case the following is a good guide to installling kde in ubuntu:

I thought "Fubuntu" was Ubuntu with the FVWM window manager. But, since Ubuntu doesn't officially support FVWM, I don't see how anyone can install Fubuntu from an official CD. I suspect we're looking at a typo here.
