I have an old SoundBlaster AWE64 Gold and I don't have the money to buy a new sound card, nor replace my sound system which undoubtedly I would also have to do, so would someone please help me to get my old ISA card running?
When Kubuntu starts, it says that it can't assign resources to 00:00:05, which I am assuming is my soundcard, because it stopped when I took it out. It now sits no more than one and a half feet from me, staring me in the face with its beautiful gold-plated RCA outputs, solemnly waiting for its next chance to become the star piece of my elderly Dell Optiplex GX1. Please help me make it happy again. Its stares traumatize me so...
