    usr/bin/wmfire

Clicking wmfire has placed empty widget squares on my desktop. Others, such as wmagnify worked and were able to be closed. How can I kill these? Thanks.

In short, by kill(ing) them more elaborated: access the process table (e.g. via [Ctrl][Esc]), identify the culprits (e.g. by the binary's name) and "kill" them (by means of the according button).

Thanks. Need a bit more education. Control/escape did not raise the process table for me. Newly migrating from Windows and am guessing that the process table you're sending me to is equivalent to the Windows task list?

Very strange - but, be that as it may, let's try "plan b": [Alt][F2] ksysguard (wherein the process table will show in a tab).

Thanks for the education on ksysguard - saw I didn't have it for some reason. Downloaded and killed the wmfire - worked like a charm. Thanks.
