write access on windows partition

My windows partition is mounted as /media/sda1
however, i only have read access. Is there any way i can allow Linux read and write access, as this would be very useful for transerring files accross.

There are quite good instructions in this link, note that this is way easier with version 7.04.

thankyou, however, when i use the "fetch update in adept" method of upgrading to 7.04(FF) I get an error >.<

I'm going to work now, but I'll attempt to clarify later.
