How do I change the text color on the panel?

I am needing to change the text color on my panel for the applications that I have opened.
I have a transparent panel with a dark desktop background picture. When I have an application minimized, the text color on the panel is gray (which is very readable). However, when I have an application maximized, the text color changes to black. With my current background, it is impossible to read the black text. I want to change the color to something that will be readable with my current setup, but I have no idea how to make this change. Can someone please advise on how I can make this change.

    I am running Kubuntu 7.04.

    Thanks,
    Matt

I'm not up on Feisty (using Edgy Eft 6.10), but I bet you'll find what you need in System Settings | Appearance (Look & Feel).
Windows no longer obstructs my view.

Thanks for the reply. I have looked and changed most of the options in the Appearance window. However, I do not see anything that will enable me to change the color of the text of opened windows in my panel. I do not see a "Look and Feel" section, but all of the other sections do not have the option that I need (at least no that I can find).

      Anymore ideas?

Okay. Well, the other option is to change the Theme you are currently using. You can see how other backgrounds affect what you are seeing.

I've somewhat had the same issue. I just try not to forget what applications are open In other words: I couldn't find it either. Yet, I have to admit that I am a close-to-total noob

Right Click on the Desktop. Click on Run command. Click on Kcontrol (This is the REAL kde configuration program that the Ubuntu folks think is too confusing for noobs.) Click on Desktop > Panels. Have fun!

That will work but only marginally. I read somewhere that kde will supply a configuration tool to change the font and color in the panels.

              I don't know when though

@ Pudgewack: Think I found what you were looking for. In the Kcontrol centre, go to the 'Taskbar' tab, and set 'appearance' to 'for transparency' (it says Elegant as standard). In that case you will still have a black text, but there will be a grey border to it, making it possible to see it clearly.

Hope to have you helped out.
