    Netgear PS101 and HL-1230 WORKING

After many tries I got my Brother printer printing.
I installed Fiesty Fawn on one of my comps. 4 comps on a lan. The printer is connected to the lan with a printer server[ a small adapter that plugs into the parallel port of the printer] PS101]
No luck with Systems settings- printers. Browsed the forum and found the answer
    Search- network printers MFC-215C.
Go to systems settings- printers and delete the printers I made but didn't work.
Go to Konqueror type in the ip address of your netgear server. The netgear page should come up. print test page. the printer will spit out a blank page. This is very good.
http://192.168.0.150was my address.I set it up when I installed my PS101.

Type http://localhost:631/. no printer listed so click home - add printer.
mine was mshome, smb://psc3d7f2/. When you finish goto manage printers - modify printer.
choose "LPD/LPR Host or printer enter printer ip. If all is well you will get an error message
:remote host did not acceptdata file [32] " when you try test page. this is very good.
type that error message into google and the second hit is www.versiontracker. The answer is half way down the page. Your printer might be called " Old Yaller" but the comp wont see it. I found my printer name by opening explorer on a xp comp on the lan . -my network- mshome- psc3d7f2 [ ps101 ]- P1. So P1 is my computer name. I add PI to my url in "modify printer" So the new address is http://192.168.0.150/P1. Bingo
I used a xp comp for all searching
