    Shutdown Harddisk

In windows I have the ability to turn of the HDs, after Xminutes of Idle time, with the power management system.
Does anyone know how to do this in Linux. It's an Abit MotherBoard and I don't care if it does it automaticly or that I have to type a command to turn of the harddisk.
The reason I want this is to reduce noise when the computer is not in use. But you guessed that didn't you.

Take a look at the laptop-mode-tools package.  One of its major design goals is to allow you to spin down hard drives after a period of inactivity.
