How do I mount a floppy disk and USB flash drive in Kubuntu 6.06. Unlike a regular CD they don't seem to automatically mount and appear on the desktop. Thanks.

did you try
sudo mount /dev/sd* /media/usb ?
I don't really know why they dont mount automaticaly.
I had the same problem, but after installing some gnome libs it worked(accident).
