Hi all,
I am new to Linux. I use Kubuntu 6.10 desktop, in live CD mode. When I try to install ndiswrapper according to
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...iswrapper/edgy
I come only up to the point
>Need to get 42.6kB of archives.
>After unpacking 213kB of additional disk space will be used.
>Do you want to continue [Y/n]?
After hitting "y" I get this
>Err http://archive.ubuntu.com edgy/main ndiswrapper-common 1.18-1ubuntu2
> Temporary failure resolving 'archive.ubuntu.com'
which, of course is due the fact, that I have not installed ndiswrapper yet, because without ndiswrapper, I have no internet access, which seems to be the prerequisite to install ndsiwrapper completely! Or do I miss a point?
Could I download the required files with another system, say, my WinXP, from http://archive.ubuntu.com , save them to a USB stick and install ndiswrapper with Kubuntu using this USB stick?
Please help!
Thanks,
siggi
