    Network Manger

I have install Kubuntu 7.04 and it is working fine. but not my internet connection.
I have to start a program called Network Manager. And mark witch connection I have wireless or not.
then my internet works but I have to do this everytime . I want Kubuntu to find it automatic so that I can connect to the internet direct

    Re: Network Manger

With exactly one hardwired ethernet connection (aka eth0) to be managed, I simply kicked this (for me: unnecessary) "network manager" back to the repos, so to speak:

    Code:
    apt-get --purge remove knetworkmanager network-manager

So how does your comp connects to internet?
I have the same problem, i can't connect automatically to internet. I have to do that manually every time i reboot via KNetworkManager.

I've set up the ethernet interface by means of KDE's according Control Center module,

        [Alt][F2] kdesu kcmshell kcm_knetworkconfmodule

        - including in particular the option to "activate [the interface] when the system boots".
