    cannot see xp drive

    I was told i could see my xp drive if ntfs . I still cannot
    . any ideas?

    They should have been set up for you during installation. Here's a copy of my /etc/fstab

    Code:
    # /dev/hda1
    UUID=CA2824C82824B57B /media/hda1   ntfs  defaults,nls=utf8,umask=007,gid=46 0    1
    Check to see if you have a similar entry. Also check your /media directory to see if you have any win folders.

      If you are using Edgy then Windows does not show by default. It showed up on previous issues. You need to mount the Windows Partition. Instructions are shown here: http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/mountwindows

      Unfortunately this will not create an icon or shortcut, this must be done separately.

        thanks for the heads up ill try that bookmarked the site so i can get this done probably made my own problem by using second drive for kubuntu.
