How to install Kubuntu on an USB-HDD?

How can I install Kubuntu 7.04 on an USB-Disk?

Can somebody post me a step by step instruction?

I tried it on my own, but after the installation when I try to boot Kubuntu, I get an error message: "Error 22: No such partition found".

First - do you have a BIOS that allow booting from USB, and is it set to do so?

If you did that, perhaps the thing is to guess the right order of the USB disk as seen by Linux?

(I am mainly writing this hoping that you will get an answer that will be of use for me too.)

When my new 8GB thumb drive shows up in the mailbox, I'm going to attempt this one:

But if one of you guys wants to go ahead with it, and then write your report here, that's OK too ....

        Solved the problem.

Followed the instructions I found here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=407212

Had to do only the last two steps.
