First like to say hello to you all!
I have a pc shop in belgium (www.powerbits.be) and I do not force microsoft products onto people.
Instead a standard install them with kubuntu, the client gets the choice wat he would like..
Needles to say mostly linux is chosen, for its being Free and some customers stick with it!
Some are realy shocked that an alternative to windows xp even exists!
I am very happy with the latest 7.04 , becuase of its hardware support, 6.10 did have some issues on some motherboards (sound) and they work great now!
So I am proud to inform people about the great Linux alternative
Personaly I use 95% linux (5% gaming on xp), my work goes faster and have less to worry about spyware etc...
I am fairley new , but I have learned and discovered many great things..
I do have a problem upgrading my 6.06 (dapper), lukiley i made a backup to restore my system.
Is a new installation better and how could I take programs with me on that..
Or am I doing something wrong?
Many thanks
Frank
