    Flash Drive RAM

    New Vista trick...
    http://lifehacker.com/software/vista...ive-221592.php
They way I understand it is that it is basically using Flash Memory as a Page File. Flipping the page file should be quicker (and less painfull) An interesting and cheaper alternative to actual RAM. As you can get nearly 4gigs for about $50.

Can linux/ubuntu/kubuntu do something like this? Not that I need it at this point with 2gigs of ram and doesn't use the page file. But if it is not a feature, I think this is a direction that the brilliant k/ubuntu OS developers should be exploring.

    Re: Flash Drive RAM

My laptop is getting older and older everyday and I hope that this feature will be implemented in Kubuntu too.
