    Newbie question regarding Qt..

There is a program I would love to see ported into the Linux world. However, the author informed me that it has not been possible due to a lack of RichText Edit capability in the Linux libraries. He built it with Delphi and might consider porting, but needs this feature.

I know next to nothing about Qt, especially the latest incarnations. But, is this true, that the RichText Edit feature does not exist in Qt? Or has this changed recently?

He seems open to the idea of releasing some of his code for porting. But feels it would be impossible to complete the port without RichText capability. Is this a dead end? Or is there something he does not know about Qt's abilities..

    Thanks much for any insights.

I'm not sure if a Delphi developer would want to switch to Qt C++ but if that person was interested you could ask them to check-out:

In addition to rich text format the abilities of QT for using HTML-enable controls are just awesome.
