    No administration menu in system

    Hi all
First of all I am complete new to unix so please excuse any silly questions I may ask.
I just installed kubuntu 6.10 in an old server HP machine here, when I go to system menu in KDE there is no administration menu. I can access Kcontrol from terminal and my pass has root access but still where is administrator menu?
    Can someone help me?
    Thanks in advance

    Kmenu>System Settings>the item you're wanting to adjust.

The answer depends on what you mean by "administration". On my system, in the System menu, are the Nvidia Xserver settings utility, the KCron task scheduler, the Beryl Settings utility, the Keep backup utility, and the Adept Package Manager. Those seem like "administration" to me.

In the KMenu>System Settings facility that I previously pointed to, are User account setups, Networking utilities, printer installation and configuration utilities, desktop appearance settings, and other capabilities conventionally referred to as "administration".

What do you mean by "adminstrator menu" in the first place? Some communication problems here.

what I mean is this I found multiple references while searching the net trying to setup a wireless driver of an administration menu in the system menu and was not able to find it I reckon it must have been like that in previous versions.

Those references are for Ubuntu, which uses Gnome desktop. Kubuntu uses the KDE desktop.
The admin applets will be different but the information should still be relevant. you may just have to poke around in system settings to find the right area.
