If I upgrade...

I'm beating my head on the wall with a lot of bugs mostly due to my laptop's hardware, and poor drivers. A recurring solution keeps popping up... I need to upgrade my Kubuntu. I'm using 6.10 Edgy. If I do an upgrade to 7.x Fiesty will it overwrite my current faulty drivers? Or, like a MS-OS is it possibly the faulty drivers will be imported into the newer OS.

Should I format and reinstall fresh, or just upgrade to Fiesty?

When does Fiesty leave beta and just become the current release?

If it is suggested I upgrade, what nifty sudo command do I get to use? Or is it more involved.

I would'nt upgrade to Feisty just yet. Problems with wireless abound.

So... it is the 20th. Is this the final release of Fiesty It does seem that most of my bugs are worked out. Looks nice!
