    Wifi not starting at boot

This is on my laptop - In Windows I used to have to press Fn and F2 in order for the card to start and it would detect everything and be fine.

Originally after installing Ubuntu the card would just start up without having to do anything at all, but now I have to use Wireless Assistant Wireless LAN Manager everytime I start the laptop, enter password and select my ESSID from the list - This isn't very wife friendly.

Is there anything I can do to get it to just start when Kubuntu starts? Shall I post iwconfig ifconfig or something ?

Install knetwork manager instead. It connects on startup and will be replacing kwlassistant in feisty. You can find it in add/remove programs.

banana - thanks, I couldn't find it in add/remove so did apt-cache search and then installed it.

Problem is, it doesn't seem to do alot? Just sits in the system tray with a red x in it. Have clicked on it - gone to options > networks but there is nothing there - Just says trusted and untrusted no ESSID's show up
