Missing sound drivers, can't change firefox homepage, how do I make launchers?

I have multiple issues right now.

1. I can't change the firefox homepage. There's no "Options" menu.

3. How do I add more applications to the top menu? It asks me to find it, but, well, I have no idea where it could be.

EDIT: There is no longer a #2. I figured it out after a few seconds. I love xubuntu, even though it's a bit slow.
