Evenin' all. Like the topic says, I would definitely do a soich on this question but I really don't know what the item I'm trying to access is called, heh. So here we go.
I notice in lots of screenshots of many different Linux distros that people have a 'data section' on their desktop that shows how much processing power is being used, how much RAM is being used, HDD and/or CPU temperature, IP address and so on. I don't know what it's called, but I'm trying to figure out how to turn it on. I'm on Kubuntu Edgy Eft (which I'm enjoying immensely) if that might help you.
Thank you for any help offered.
