    I would search, but I don't know what term to look for.

    Evenin' all. Like the topic says, I would definitely do a soich on this question but I really don't know what the item I'm trying to access is called, heh. So here we go.

    I notice in lots of screenshots of many different Linux distros that people have a 'data section' on their desktop that shows how much processing power is being used, how much RAM is being used, HDD and/or CPU temperature, IP address and so on. I don't know what it's called, but I'm trying to figure out how to turn it on. I'm on Kubuntu Edgy Eft (which I'm enjoying immensely) if that might help you.

    Step 1
    Enable extra repositories by following these instructions

    Step 2
    Install Superkaramba by pasting this command into the terminal:

    sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install superkaramba
