Computer hacked through desktop sharing?

Hi guys,

I was sitting here on my newly installed Kubuntu laptop - watching Babylon 5 - when suddenly this message popped up (wording might differ): "Remote Desktop user has just closed the connection".

I have recently been dabbling with remote desktop connection, so it seem likely that this message should appear at this moment.

But my simple questions are:

• Should I be worried?
• Is there a log file anywhere that I could check to see what the alleged intruder has been up to?

I am really curious to hear if there exists log files that can show me what an alleged intruder has done on my laptop through remote desktop sharing.

Does anyone know?
