adept manager

hi
can anyone advise me please. i want to install upgrades in adept manager but when i go on to adept, it says it is being used by another aptitude or apt get and wont let me download any updates
can anyone please help

I get that if I have synaptic open or any other installer. Apparently they all want to use some specific space that each locks when it is active.

Try this in console window:

sudo dpkg --configure -a
